Trip to the Land of Enchantment
We had a great Thanksgiving in New Mexico this year. We were able to see both families.
The picture above is a picture of my brother Brian's new life in Escrito. He owns the town gas station, cafe, grocery store and post office. While we were there we helped him do some sign work to bring in some new business. So if you are on your way to Albuquerque look for his store.
This is out behind Brians' place.. great views.. Doesnt Nate look great?
Ryan played around while we all painted. She is so short!
Ryan also fell in love with Katie while we were there!
Wile we were out there we went to Chaco canyon.. If you havent been there go!! it was amaizing and well worth the drive. They are ruins of an ancient city still visable today.
This was high up on a rock wall .. Hieroglyphics of a bird with it's prey.. AMAIZING. they were everywhere there.
Dad is standing in what would be an apartment complex to us.. It held hundreds of living quarters and was very high.
The whole gang.. that wall was soo perfect. every rock fit together so perfectly. It was a great trip..

yeah, I just read a great book about the anasazi... it was really interesting. chaco was one of the cultural centers. I would love to go there and see the ruins someday, that's for sure.
Thanks for sharing and telling of a great place. So fun to see everyone too! Wish we could have been there!!!
20 umpteen years living in NM and I never went to chaco before...seriously dope
