Summer Fun!

Summer has officially begun! So much has happened. For Father day we went down to the Gateway to the annual Chalk Festival. It was great. we really enjoyed the Pirate in the background. It was also 100 degrees outside.

Then we baught some Meadow Gold ice cream that they were selling there for .50 cents a scoop! We decided afterward that it had to be the reject ice cream because we all felt super sick. Yuck. And for fathers day i got Adam a guitar book and a garlic press of his very own. The other event that took place was my 27th birthday. yowzers... It was awesome!!! Adam got me a sewing machine, a patagonia hoodie and an ipod speaker /player for the house. Then on top of that my friend Kara called me the night before and said she had an extra ticket to the Tim Mcgraw /Faith Hill concert and that it was free!!! HOLY COW.. . Adam watched Ryan and i had a night out with the girls..
So with my new sewing machine I made a Ryan doll. I tried to make it look like her.. ok so she doesnt have the hair yet.. or the freckles.. so i had to guess a little. but it was sooo much fun. I think she'll enjoy it when she is just a little older.

I made her braids re-braid-able so when she's older she can practice during church or something. I think i want to put shoes on her but i have no idea how or what color. black looks a little too Amish. Any Ideas?
It was also our anniversary! for my birthday/anniversary we had Spencer babysit for a few hours and we took our trusty scooter out for a ride on the town. We had dinner at Rodizio grill , and then got some ice cream at Baskin Robbins. It was so romantic to drive around town at sunset time. Everything was golden and it was such a great feeling to have the wind blowing in our faces. Just what I needed.

So this last weekend we went to the Venture Festival. It was pretty much an outdoor festival where you can try all this outdoor stuff.. then at the end of that there was a Kalai concert. this is where these pics of Ryan were taken. isn't she a cute cow-girl?

I totally love that cute doll you made for Ryan, she is going to love it! Look at you being crafty and all! I think you may be a better sewer (sp?) than me. Maybe you could put blue shoes on her. Black would be cute and amish like too.

Ok so I can't believe that you got to go to Tim and Faith. I'm so jealous. I love the doll, you need to teach me how to sew. Come swimming again soon. The water was perfect today at 5pm.

Wow- where'd you learn to sew like that?!?!? I got a sewing machine for Christmas and all I've made is a bag with my mother-in-law's help. I'm impressed with that doll! It's so cute!
